Revd Liz is well on her way with her pilgrimage to Lindisfarne, more information about which can be found in a previous blog post. Click the link below to read her summary of the first week of the pilgrimage.

We have been taking about pilgrimage at our church meetings and Revd Liz announced today that we are about to embark on a pilgrimage with the Northern Saints to Lindisfarne - the cradle of Christianity in England. Revd Liz has pledged to walk 325 miles starting today and ending on St Aidan's Day - 31st August. She will walk around Chadderton and Royton - and sometimes further afield - and will plot the miles walked on a pilgrimage map. The pilgrimage route will take in church

St Matthews Mothers Union 10th February 2026 The meeting as always, began with our short service led by Val and the reading by Sue. Val then brought us up to date with a report from the AGM and the committee meeting. It has been decided that next year we will no longer have a January meeting due to bad weather, and we will instead start to have a meeting in August. A donation has been given to Away From It All (AFIA) also to Manchester Projects. There is going to be a service
